Auto Injury Treatment Payment is Pre-Approved

Most insurance providers automatically offer some coverage for car accident injuries. Kansas drivers are required to have Personal Injury Protection (PIP) insurance coverage. This means that you and the other party are insured for up to $4,500 of coverage per person involved in the accident. This applies to your treatment costs. If you have coverage questions, our team is ready to carefully assist you. We want you to get the best coverage at the best price!

No Pain? There May Still Be a Problem

Auto injuries can be sneaky. You may not feel them right away, but that doesn’t mean they aren’t there. Car accidents can cause health problems that don’t show symptoms until later. If you leave them unchecked, your car accident injuries and symptoms could be even worse. Don’t hesitate to get checked by a chiropractor after an auto accident.

Don’t Ignore these sympotoms:

  1. Headache

This could be a result of whiplash, which is the most common type of injury after a car accident.

  2. Neck and Shoulder Pain

Neck and shoulder pain can lead to muscular imbalances and, if left untreated can lead to poor posture down the road.

  3. Back Pain

While it may seem like a hassle, getting your pain checked could prevent chronic pain later in life (which could be weeks, months or years).

  4. Soreness, Swelling and Bruising

You may experience these symptoms, and receiving treatment can help alleviate your pain and speed up your recovery.

  5. Abdominal Pain

This can be a sign of internal injury, which is why it is vital for you to seek help and mention this during your consultation.

  6. Numbness, Tingling, or Ringing in Ears

These symptoms could be a result of trauma, nerve damage or simply residual effects from the impact. We can help relieve the discomfort.

  7. Changes in Behavior, Emotional Distress, PTSD

We can help you return to a normal state of functioning in your daily life and activities.

 FAQs

  • That depends on you. If you have serious bleeding, breaks, sprains, or severe PTSD after an accident, please visit an ER or see a doctor as soon as possible. A chiropractor helps you return to optimum health. They don't treat immediate life-threatening injuries.

  • You can walk away from a car accident looking and feeling normal at first. It’s in these cases that you don’t need major surgery. However, you still need to make sure your spine, muscles, and joints aren't strained or out of place. Underlying injury can sneak up on you if it’s not detected early.

  • You should get checked out as soon as possible after an auto accident, even if you don’t feel any immediate pain. The longer you wait, the more possibility there is that an untreated injury could get worse and become serious. At the minimum you should see a doctor within three months of your accident to prevent any surprise permanent damage.

  • Auto insurance comes with car accident injury coverage. If your health insurance doesn’t cover a chiropractor or acupuncturist, your car insurance should. You can contact our admin team to see what your coverage looks like through both auto and health insurance before your first appointment.

  • Absolutely! The key is to make sure you’re getting treated by a certified chiropractor and acupuncturist, like Dr. Shin. He specializes in non-surgical treatments and Oriental Medicine instead of surgery or pharmaceuticals. His specialty is different from, say, and ER doctor, but he is very qualified in what he does! This means your treatment with KAC Clinic is incredibly safe.

  • Yes. There are many medical studies that confirm the effectiveness of these non-surgical treatments. There’s a reason more and more hospitals are incorporating these treatments into their injury recovery programs. They work!

  • On a first visit, Dr. Shin will do x-rays and test your range of motion. Using this information, he will discuss with you any injuries and what the different treatment options are. He will never prescribe a treatment unless you’ve approved it first. Dr. Shin is great at explaining the “why” behind a treatment recommendation. You’ll decide together on the right therapies to use for your treatment.
