Our Services

Acupuncture

Traditional Chinese acupuncture involves the insertion of extremely fine needles into the skin at specific “acupoints.” This helps to release endorphins and affects the part of the brain that governs serotonin, which affects mood and helps to relieve pain.

Shockwave.png

Shockwave Therapy

Shockwave therapy works by acoustic sound waves transmitted into the tissue of the affected area. As a result, these sound waves may promote a natural self-healing response to restore mobility and relieve pain.

Herbal Medicine.png

Herbal Medicine

Herb medicine is also known as herbalism or botanical medicine. It is a medical system based on the use of plants or plant extracts that may be eaten or applied to the skin. Since ancient times, herbal medicine has been used by many different cultures throughout the world to treat illness and to assist bodily functions.

Chiropractic.png

Chiropractic

Chiropractic adjustment helps to restore function of the spine and other joints, improve motion of the body and supports the nervous system. Dr. Shin practices three different chiropractic techniques: Diversified, Activator and Decompression (VDP-Pro).

EMS.png

EMS

Electrical Muscle Stimulation (EMS) sends safe, low-frequency electrical pulses into the affected area(s), causing the muscle(s) to contract and increases temperature and blood circulation. This is the same natural process the body uses to repair injuries.

Supplements.png

Evidence Based Nutrition (EBN)

Evidence Based Nutrition (EBN) uses blood work results to determine which supplements can be added to the diet to increase support of the body’s natural processes. It can also check for toxins and help to eliminate dietary factors that have negative effects on health and well-being.

Exercise.png

Exercise/PT

Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation therapies both use a personalized exercise plan to help strengthen muscles, increase mobility, and improve mobility to function for daily life. They are also an effective way to prevent further pain and future injuries.

Cupping.png

Cupping

Cupping is an alternative therapy that involves placing cups on the skin to create suctions. The suctions facilitate healing with blood flow, as well as the flow of “qi” in the body. Cupping can loosen stiff muscles, encourage blood flow and sedate the nervous system.

Taping.png

Taping
(Kinesio Therapy)

Kinesio taping has short-term benefits that include preventing injuries and improving performance.

Decompression

The spinal decompression table works for patients who have suffered from disc herniation, bulging, or degeneration. It takes pressure off the spinal discs, which can lead any bulging or herniated discs to retract and take pressure off the nerves. Furthermore, it helps to improve the supply of water, oxygen, and nutrient-rich fluids into the discs so they can enhance the healing process.

VNS

The vagus nerve is critical in connecting your brain to your internal organs and controlling the body’s response during rest. It restores the nervous system's balance, enhances organ function, and promotes overall well-being as a safe and effective treatment. This therapy has been effective for various conditions such as irregular heart rate, seizures, fatigue, anxiety, depression, hormone imbalances, Bell’s Palsy, inflammation reduction, etc.

CFR

Cranial Facial Release (CFR) is a non-invasive treatment that applies an advanced endo-nasal balloon-assisted cranial adjusting technique to treat many respiratory, neurological, and structural issues related to the skull and brain. CFR can help with multiple conditions such as migraine, sinusitis, sleep apnea, and various neurological disorders. Dr. Shin is the ONLY certified practitioner in Kansas, and there are only 275 qualified CFR specialists in the United States of America.

Trigger Point Massage

Trigger point massage targets trigger points, defined as localized spasms or knots in the muscle fiber that may cause pain to be referred to other body parts. Any small tears, tight muscles, dehydration, and weakness can cause trigger points to form. Trigger point massage is a simple, non-invasive way to release those tight spots and alleviate pain. It aims to release trigger points by pushing in fresh blood and flushing waste material out of the region and helps to bring more oxygen into the area and promote muscles to relax.

Laser Therapy

Laser therapy works through photobiomodulation; when photons of laser light penetrate the skin and underlying tissue, they are absorbed by cells and converted into energy. Results show pain relief, reduced inflammation, reduced muscle tightness & spasm, enhanced mobility of the joints, and accelerated recovery times. Laser therapy is clinically used for neck & back pain, neuropathy, tendinopathy, muscle strain, sprain, joint disorders, etc.
